Dancing feet

This is my neice and nephew dancing too some music on the radio. Aren't they cute? I am watching them this morning and they love to dance to music. Sorry for the bad light.

Fallon's little jeans a way to long for her and so they are rolled up but they look cute like that don't they. Maddix has always loved dancing, and Fallon just started to bust some moves of her own.

New Habits

I have a new workout plan that is very low impact. I have purchased myself a pedometer, and my goal is to walk 10,000 steps a day, but I have been getting 11,300 or near to it everyday. So I might have to up the goal.
I have had no time for knitting, been very busy, just been working on my cowl for late soccer games, when it is cold. I am going to start some fingerless mittens.

New Stuff

Well I ordered Wendy Johnson's new book, and I ordered some size 0 circs from KnitPicks because I didn't have any in that size. I am working on a sock from her book, the On Hold socks. I am using some self striping yarn that I already had, and I chose the pattern becasue the lace pattern is so subtle that the striping shouldn't compete with it too much. I have sort of slowed down on the other sock that I was knitting, I have been dreading doing the new kind of heel, I am super excited but nervous about how it will turn out. But I will do that heel before I get to the heel on this sock because it will be a practice run.
This yarn is Deborah Norville's sock yarn, in Indigo.

New Projects

I have started knitting a hat for the hubs, as a winter, early Christmas type present. I started a scarf for myself, I am following the Column of Leaves pattern by Brooke Nelson, on Ravelry. I am sort of putting of the sock I have been working on, only because every time I bring that sock out to work on the new puppy seems to be oddly attracted to the ball of yarn, so he has come very close to tearing it up some umpteen times by now.

You will have to excuse the blurry pictures and the cat hair.

I decided to knit the scarf in blue only because I have an excess of dark blue yarn. I thought it would also be different from all the green ones that I keep seeing. I know that you can't see it very well, but when it gets a little longer I will take another picture.

Monday Stinks

Well, awhile a back I mentioned that I had a job finally, well they decided to hire one of their back up workers instead, which makes me sad because I went through all of the observations and paperwork, and this weekend they decided to go with someone who fills in for others. But oh well it wasn't meant to be. On to bigger and better things....
Saturday night I finished up the Sherbert dishcloth while Greg refereed a soccer match, and then yesterday, I cast on for another dishcloth while he refereed two more games and I am currently working on decreasing it it is in colorway Violet Veil.

Anyways not to bad for a couple hours work. I haven't done anymore on my toe up sock, because things have been so busy here, but I will have some time today, so I might be posting pictures tomorrow.

Toe Up Sock

I am doing my first toe up sock, I am using the wonderful Silver's Sock Class tutorial. I like these socks a lot more than I do the other cuff down socks I have done. I am using a Deborah Norville's sport weight yarn in Kiwi. Here is the progress so far...
I am a little dissappointed at how loose the purl stitches are next to the cables, but the sock is still cute. I have been trying to come up with something to use this color of yarn for, I don't wear it in my wardrobe. Pardon my tan lines on my foot, I love my Teva's.
