Changed my mind again!!!!

Well that smocking cap pattern was either bogus or I am just an idiot but since I haven't the patience to keep ripping it out. I chose a different pattern I went with that his and hers knit hats by Jennifer Hoverson, off of Ravelry. I liked the simplicity of the stripe and the simple design from the spiral. I am still using blue and yellow for the Chargers like G wanted.

Drinking Tea

I changed my blog as you can see, I hope that everyone likes it. I just wanted to stick to something simple and I am trying to find a good photo to put at the top of my page that will fit right. Anyhooo...

Well I am sitting here drinking some black chai tea with some honey in it trying to relax. Once again the realtor wants to come upend my life and today is not a good day for that. I have a child here and my cats and my husband is going to have to take the afternoon off from work to come help me take care of getting all of the kids and animals out of the house for at least a half an hour.

But other than that all is well. I finished a silly little pouch I made for our white board makers. And took G's hat off the circulars and put them on the double points that are smaller around so that it will look cleaner and tighter.

But mostly I am shocked I haven't been putting anything on the needles and I think that I am starting to lose my mind. I haven't been able to make too much time for knitting and so I have all this pent up stress which releases when I knit.

Found out that G is going to get a transfer and it is going to be where his parents live so that will be great. So we are moving in March over spring break and my birthday. I am going to have to start looking for a different temporary job until we find a house to buy. Then I can go back to providing child care. I am super excited because once we get a house G and I can start adding to our family which we are both psyched for I cannot wait.

Any ways I will post again later bye.......

On hold...

Well I have been putting of some projects so that I can get my house all spakly and shiny for the realtor and strangers to come through. I hate this because I and my husband G are just renters and so we always feel a little put out when it comes time for people to come through our abode. I don't think I would mind it as much if we didn't have the cats. People just waltz in and leave the door open for our cats to run out in the street and possibly get hit by cars. I came back one time a year ago to hear loud yowling sounds coming from our bedroom closet. I found our cat Reeses locked in, apparently the people had gone through and opened all the doors and left them that way and Reeses crawled in and then the Realtor went through and closed him in. Needless to say I was a bit ticked. So now on days when we are supposed to upend our schedules and drop everything and leave the house, we take the cats with us. Thank God that this will be over in march we will be moving down near G's parents and we will be looking for a new home which will be ours and the cats and future kids.

Birthday surprise!!!

Well my husband G's birthday is coming up on the 18th and he picked what he wanted me to knit a couple of days ago. We found this pattern on Ravelry by Bohemian Knitter Chick, called the smocking cap. He picked out those color because he loves the San Diego Chargers. Here is the start.....

I finally finished the Head Huggers pattern hat for myself. I thought it would be so soft and cuddly in this Caron Simply soft. I took forever because I was dragging it to relative's houses and never having anytime to do it. But I finished it a while ago and here it is just being posted.

Well I am tired of going to dry my hands off after washing them to find that the towel his even wetter than my hands were in the first place. I take care of a some kids periodically. I am knitting a hand towel for myself and G and it is going to be in a place up high where only we can reach it. I used some Sugar'n Cream cotton yarn in potpourri. It matches all the color of my bathroom except the purple but it is a nice accent color.

I will keep you updated on the hat and the dishcloth....

Captain Nemo

Well as I said before I am reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I love reading a book that I haven't read in a long time because it almost like the very first time. I am at the part where Nemo has taken Monsieur Pierre Aronnax, his servant Conseil, and Ned Land the Canadian Harpooner captive aboard the Nautilus and Captain Nemo is giving a tour of the mysterious ship and all of her secrets.

I am also knitting a new hand towl for the bathroom, I am using the Vines and Lace pattern I saw. I am doing this because I am a little tired of going to the bathroom after one of the kids I watch and going to dry my hands on the hand towel and it being soaked all the way through. So G and I will have one and the kids will have one.

I am knitting myself a hat, which I will post on here soon as it is almost finished. I am helping out my Grandma by crocheting an afgan for her. She doesn't have the time to deal with a big huge blanket and so I got a crash course on crocheting as I haven't done it for years. I am looking to start some socks next, I am really excited I haven't done socks before. So we will see....

Any ways I will post in a couple of days with my new projects and the progress I have made on them.

Books

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has started off with a bang. My neighborhood did, fireworks went off at midnight which then signaled the dogs upstairs to freak out and start barking. At least we were still awake. I am ahead of the game finally a down a couple of sizes (woohoo). That was going to be one of my resolutions to lose some poundage.
G and I went through a back to the future streak (netflix) and now I really want to read some Jules Verne novels, so today I am going to haul my hiney, with the kids I am watching today, to the library. I decided last night that we would go to the downtown library instead because they have a really cool secluded play room for kids. I also thought that I would give G an opportunity to finish planning his curriculum for his class. He had planned to do some while we were away, but could never find a good time. And as he goes back to work monday, and this weekend we are going to my parents to celebrate Christmas late he might not get any time.

My hands feel a little wierd I haven't knit for a couple of days, I am undecided as to what my next project I want to do will be. I have been playing a little of Paper Mario, I know it sounds silly but we have it for the Wii and it is a lot of fun.Any ways I am going to say goodbye for now I will see you later and maybe I will have a new project in mind or I will be another level higher on Mario.
